ColorChoice roses earn local artist awards
Two Proven Winners ColorChoice rose cultivars have been recognized in the 2026 American Rose Trials for Sustainability (A.R.T.S.), earning Local Artist awards for strong regional performance.
A.R.T.S. trials assess roses for pest resistance, drought tolerance, vigor, beauty and low-maintenance growth across five U.S. climate regions. Roses receiving the Local Artist designation must meet or exceed industry standards in their specific region.
The Reminiscent Coral rose received the Local Artist award in the Dfa climate region. Bred by Pheno Geno Roses in Serbia and introduced to the U.S. by Spring Meadow Nursery in Grand Haven, Michigan, this compact shrub grows 2 to 3.5 feet tall and wide.
Ringo Double Pink earned Local Artist designations in both the Dfa and Csa regions. Bred by Christopher Hugh Warner in the U.K. and also introduced by Spring Meadow Nursery, this variety reaches 1.5 to 2.5 feet in size and is noted for its vibrant blooms and ornamental hips.
Adjudicators praised this feature, stating: “This plant is setting a large number of attractive hips,” “Hips are adorable looking” and “Gorgeous hips!”
Spring Meadow Nursery continues to prioritize resilient, sustainable plants for the Proven Winners ColorChoice line by working with global breeders and trialing plants under real-world conditions.
