Darwin Perennials Day returns June 18 in Illinois
Darwin Perennials Day will return June 18 at The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago, Illinois, bringing perennial growers, landscapers and garden center professionals together for a full-day event focused on plant trials, new varieties and industry education.
Hosted by Darwin Perennials, the annual event offers visitors access to more than 500 varieties in overwintered trial gardens, a 2026 new variety showcase, and opportunities to connect with over 25 plant suppliers. Educational tours of The Gardens, Ball’s new seed distribution center and a virtual walkthrough of Darwin’s Colombia vegetative farm are also scheduled.
A panel discussion titled “Stop Stressing About Perennial Production!” will feature experts addressing strategies for improved perennial growth.

“The excitement for perennials is growing, and the annual Darwin Perennials Day event is a key resource for growers building their programs,” said Marion Meesenburg, marketing specialist for Darwin Perennials. “It’s a full day of connections – with peers, with experts and with plants.”
Attendees will receive a free perennial plant, along with grab-and-go breakfast and lunch. There is no cost to attend, and online registration is open at darwinperennialsday.com.
