ForemostCo Helps Raise Funds for Guatemala Volcano Victims

ForemostCo, a young plant producer based in Miami, Florida, has mobilized its network to raise funds for the communities affected by the recent Fuego Volcano eruptions in Guatemala.

While ForemostCo’s Guatemalan-based farm, Vita Farms, has been spared by the eruption, the surrounding communities have not been as fortunate. Vita Farms manager, Luis Pacheco, has been working directly with aid organizations in the country to help those affected.

With the death toll surpassing 100 and those reported missing over 200, the situation in Guatemala is extremely critical according to Sergio Cabañas, the executive secretary of Guatemala’s National Coordination for Disaster Reduction.

“Having directly experienced the effects of Guatemala’s Pacaya volcanic explosion in 2010, we know how important aid and support can be,” said Joseph Roberts IX, Chief Operating Officer for ForemostCo. “We are also keenly aware that timeliness of aid distribution is of utmost importance. To that end, we have partnered with the Rotary Club of Miami Airport, Inc. to streamline the fundraising efforts and distribution of aid on the ground.”

Those interested in supporting the relief efforts can make a tax deductible donation to the Rotary Club of Miami Airport, Inc. through GoFundMe.com at  https://www.gofundme.com/rotarians-helping-guatemala?member=274450.

All donations will be distributed directly to Rotary Club Escuintla in Guatemala who are coordinating relief efforts on the ground.
