Growscape opens expanded manufacturing and warehouse campus
Growscape has opened an expanded manufacturing and warehouse campus in Middlefield, Ohio, marking a major milestone for the garden and décor solutions provider. The new 750,000-square-foot warehouse increases the company’s total footprint to about 1.2 million square feet, making it one of the largest manufacturing and distribution operations in Geauga County.
The centralized facility consolidates Growscape’s production and distribution into one location, designed to improve efficiency and customer service. The warehouse features 60,000 pallet positions and a Very Narrow Aisle system with four-level vertical storage reaching 40 feet. The layout is intended to reduce product handling and streamline order fulfillment for growers, retailers and distributors.
The expansion also supports Growscape’s sustainability goals by eliminating off-site transfers, reducing daily truck traffic, and cutting more than 500,000 freight miles each year. The company estimates the change will prevent about 1,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
Middlefield Mayor Ben Garlich said the new facility marks an important moment for both the company and the local community. “We’re proud that Middlefield is now home to one of the largest and most advanced facilities in the region,” Garlich said.
Gavin Collier, chief operating officer of Growscape, said the expanded campus positions the company for continued growth while strengthening its service and delivery network nationwide.
