Jackson & Perkins reveals 2026 rose introductions
Jackson & Perkins has announced its 2026 rose introductions, featuring new releases from the Jackson & Perkins breeding program, rare global finds and cold-hardy varieties.
“Year after year, we honor the artistry and legacy of rose breeding while continuing to innovate for the modern gardener,” said Kelly Funk, president and CEO of Jackson & Perkins. “Our 2026 introductions are a reflection of that legacy: roses with story, soul and staying power.”
Here are a few of the new offerings for the 2026 Library of Roses:
New Exclusive: Ruffled Romance (above photo)
The star of the 2026 collection, Ruffled Romance, is the final rose bred by Keith Zary, Ph.D., for Jackson & Perkins. This stunning floribunda begins in shades of golden yellow and apricot, maturing into soft pink as it unfolds. With moderate fragrance, strong disease resistance, and large 4-inch blooms, Ruffled Romance delivers a new story with every season.
Roses from Around the World
This collection celebrates the artistry of rose breeding with selections sourced from around the globe:
• Flash Gordon, a floribunda with large, 5-inch golden blooms and vigorous 5-foot habit. Bonus: attracts pollinators.
• Sealed with a Kiss, a hybrid tea with nearly black, velvety buds and impressive disease tolerance.
Cold-Hardy Roses
Gardeners in cooler climates will welcome the Cold Hardy Roses collection, bred to thrive in Zones 2 to 4 without sacrificing beauty. Highlights include:
• AC Navy Lady, a compact, Zone 3 shrub rose with nearly black buds and velvety red blooms.
• J.P. Connell, a Zone 2-hardy shrub rose with thornless stems and continuous yellow blooms all summer.
“The 2026 Library of Roses embodies what makes our brand timeless: craftsmanship, legacy, and love for the garden,” said Funk. “Every rose tells a story, and we’re honored to share these new chapters with gardeners everywhere.”
The new 2026 Library of Roses Collection will be available at jacksonandperkins.com in November.
