NGB Launches #Fallisforplanting Initiative

As the cool autumn season gets under way, National Garden Bureau is reminding growers and retailers to tell gardeners that fall is the perfect time of year for planting cool-weather crops including perennials and vegetables. NGB has created the hashtag #Fallisforplanting to help deliver the message.

Fall planting not only extends the garden (and selling) season but also brings attention to crops that do best in the cooler weather, often tasting their best after a frost or two. There are usually fewer pests to worry about, less watering, and less sweat in the cooler fall months.
