Plant Development Services Inc. (PDSI) has named Tyler Brown as brand sales director. In this role, Brown will work directly with growers to expand demand for PDSI’s portfolio, including brands such as Southern Living Plant Collection, Sunset Plant Collection, Encore Azalea, Better Boxwood and Butterfly Candy.

Brown brings more than 10 years of horticulture industry experience to the position. He will be responsible for supporting PDSI’s product pipeline and maintaining communications with growers, chain retailers and garden centers. His work will focus on identifying market opportunities and aligning PDSI’s plant offerings with industry needs to increase liner sales.
Most recently, Brown was Mid-Atlantic territory manager for Star Roses and Plants, where he represented genetics from over 100 suppliers and collaborated on production planning. He also served as Southeast sales manager for HIP Labels and has additional background in plant production and team coordination.
“Tyler Brown will step into a vital role furthering relationships and insights from the field to accelerate the company’s strategic growth,” the company stated.
Brown joins PDSI amid recent team growth. Earlier this year, Josh Geiger joined as propagation manager, Kate Pierce was hired as marketing assistant and Nicole Keppel was promoted to social media and content manager.
