APHIS Creates Informational Page on Tomato Virus

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) posted an informational web page on Tomato brown rugose fruit virus.

On November 15, 2019, APHIS issued a Federal Order imposing restrictions on imports of tomato and pepper seed lots, transplants, and fruit from all countries where tomato brown rugose fruit virus exists.

These actions went into effect Nov. 22.

The web page includes information on the Federal Order, frequently asked questions, and industry certification guidance. We will update the page and add information as necessary.

You can visit the web page here: www.aphis.usda.gov/planthealth/tobrfv.
