Nominations open for 2026 horticulture awards
The American Horticultural Society is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Great American Gardeners Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations making significant contributions to horticulture in the U.S.
Established in 1953, the awards celebrate achievements in areas such as education, design, research and community engagement. Nominees may include professionals, educators, researchers or community leaders who are influencing how Americans grow, teach and connect through plants.
Nominations will remain open through Sept. 26, 2025. Anyone in the horticulture industry or the broader public can submit a nomination.
Winners are selected based on their impact in advancing horticulture and their ability to inspire others through innovation, leadership or service. The American Horticultural Society encourages nominations across all sectors of horticulture, including those supporting sustainable practices, youth education and plant science.
Nomination forms, award categories and additional details are available on the American Horticultural Society website. For questions, email programs@ahsgardening.org.
