- Working internationally by coordinating and participating in AFE educational sessions on thrips and botrytis in Bogota and Rionegro for Colombian cut-flower growers, and by being an Extension host for a Master Gardener travel study program in Costa Rica.
- Has pieced together several remote positions in organizations she’s passion about, where she can communicate her love of plants, horticulture and research.
Extracurricular
An Innate Talent: Although she’s had no formal art training, Laura’s artwork has been accepted into a handful of different galleries and publications across the country.
Fun Facts
Hitting the Right Notes: Laura’s first degree is in music performance for flute: “I did win the department’s Concerto Competition, where I got to play a solo piece accompanied by the wind symphony.”
