American Horticultural Society adds five board members
The American Horticultural Society has appointed five professionals to its Board of Directors, bringing experience in horticulture, public gardens and urban forestry.
The new board members are Kathryn Acerbo-Bachmann of Massachusetts, founder of the marketing firm Experience Creation; James Folsom of Florida, former director of botanical gardens at The Huntington Library; Panayoti Kelaidis of Colorado, director of outreach for Denver Botanic Gardens; Christian Primeau of New York, former manager of the New York Botanical Garden; and Bryant Smith of Maryland, CEO of the Baltimore Tree Trust.
“We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional individuals to our Board of Directors,” said AHS president and CEO Suzanne Laporte. “Their collective expertise and passion for horticulture will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission and inspire Americans to become confident gardeners.”
The new board members bring experience in nonprofit leadership, botanical gardens and urban forestry, positioning AHS to expand its impact on gardening education and environmental stewardship.
