What professional and/or personal accomplishments are you most proud of? 

• Utilized UAV drones for both commercial content creation and pesticide application, generating engaging social media content that attracted customers and stimulated sales 
• Improved the uniformity of chrysanthemum crop by using drip tape irrigation, leading to the production of the nursery’s highest quality mums with minimal losses
• Implemented the cutting-edge boom system for nursery irrigation, which significantly reduced labor costs, enhanced efficiency and conserved water
• Combined traditional practices with biological insects, lighting, fertilizers and growth regulators to attain exceptional crop quality, thereby minimizing chemical usage and maintaining optimal plant height
• A dedicated servant leader and coach, committed to nurturing the growth and skills of the entire horticultural team, specializing in annuals, perennials and succulents

What led you to work in the horticulture industry?

• My passion for nature and plants, and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment, led me to pursue a career in the horticulture industry. 

What’s the best thing about your job? 

• It is challenging.

Describe to a 6-year-old what you do in life? 

• My job is like being a plant buddy! I help them grow by giving them just the right amount of water, sunlight and fertilizer. It’s like being a plant superhero! And when they’re all grown up, they make our world so much prettier! 

What are your favorite hobbies? 

• Flying drones

When you’re not working, what are two to three things we could find you doing? 

• Playing with my kids
• Building drones

Do you have any unusual talents, or can you tell us something interesting about yourself that other people may be surprised to find out? 

• I enjoy producing captivating aerial video content with my professional drone to help businesses promote their products or services and increase sales effectively.
• One of the videos I created called “Boiler room retrofit” has over 100k views on YouTube.
• Furthermore, I also have experience in building racing drones, and I test and calibrate them to ensure optimal performance.

• Visit Hawaii 
• Train for a private pilot certificate 
• Skydiving

What’s your favorite plant variety and why? 

• Chrysanthemum ‘Debbie Hot Pink’. The most amazing mum variety I’ve ever grown before.
