Ring in 2020 with Classic Blue Hues By Jasmina Dolce

I’m sure by now you’ve heard that Pantone, a provider of professional color standards and digital solutions, announced that Classic Blue is the 2020 Color of the Year. According to the color authority, Classic Blue is a “timeless and enduring hue elegant in its simplicity.”

In the horticulture world, the color blue has many variations and categorizing it is a subjective effort. But there’s no denying blue is a standout in any garden application.

Classic Blue brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit. “We are living in a time that requires trust and faith,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking.”

When you look through your greenhouses, do you see blue? How will you take advantage of this color trend? Will you promote any blue varieties to your customers? Shoot me an email at jdolce@greatamericanpublish.com, and let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
